Re: Lake Champlain Report

Champ is a good place to have a change of pace, glad every thing went well. Heading for Sebago for 3 days.

Re: Lake Champlain Report

Great job Mark. That walleye must have been a ball. You did well, Particularly during a derby I have only fished Champ once, this spring with Gus and White Cap. Can't wait to go back.

Re: Lake Champlain Report

Hi Mark: If you don,t mind me asking, what part of the lake were you on for the browns? Ellen and I fished out of Shelburn Bay fri.- sun. and caught mostly lakers 3 to 6 pound range and runt salmon all under 17 in. No browns at all. We were not in the derby either, but the boat traffic wasn,t too bad where we fished. Oh, and I hooked into one that I could not gain an inch of line on and after awhile pulled the hook. Lots of fun and can,t wait to go back. Cal P.

Re: Lake Champlain Report

Yankee Native,
I believe and from my experience Shelburne Bay is a hit or miss for salmon and it is an area that is sort of isolated from the other areas of the lake.
The Inland Sea is a vast area with many spots that hold fish, Keeler Bay, several island and the Sand Bar area.
Converse Bay area gets you too many areas like Thompson Point, Split Rock NY, Kingsland Bay, and many bays.
Monitor board.
If you get down to the Converse Bay area, there is a guy who live near by and fishes the area often and is willing to share info, “Super Cab” give him a shout on 68.

Re: Lake Champlain Report

Yankee Native ,
I fished the Inland Sea the whole time I was there.
I fished the area in front of the causeway or the Sand Bar the Cow Banks and in front of Eagle Mtn.
You can catch Salmon and Brown's all year in the I.S. but no lakers.

Re: Lake Champlain Report
