Things to think about when it's raining

Doesn't seem like anyones catching allot of fish or fishing much in all this this rain, so let's see if we can generate some discussion.

Anyone have much to say about Solunar tables (fishing calendars) good, bad, rubbish???

How about scent, smelly stuff ? Does it work, favorite brands ?

What about trolled night crawlers ?? How do you rig them ?

What about Gulp artificial smelt/shiners, heard they were super ??

Trolling speed on GPS vs speed and temp probe ???

Underwater currents on our lakes, do we have any ???

Fishing when water is High/Low, good, bad, otherwise.

Best overall spoon color orcombinations ??

I'm sure others out there have some questions they can list here too.

Re: Things to think about when it's raining

Hi John,
I've never been a huge fan of the smelly stuff. I didn't think the risk of spilling it on my carpet warrented any difference made in fish catching of the lure it was on.

That said, this spring, I began using crawfish scented smelly jelly (nasty stuff) on some of my lures and found the lures with it on were out fishing "naked" lures by 2-1. This was totally unscientific as the lures were perhaps at different depths and different speeds (inside vs outside of turns). It was enough of noticable difference though that guys we shared our rental with began using it. I definitely don't think it hurts...just don't spill any.
