OK, as Big John says in his post below----with all this rain we need something to talk about, so here's my problem.
I am stuck with "dial up" internet. Cable doesnt run down my road and the phone lines have not been upgraded so as to provide high speed internet. I checked on a satelite system and they want $500 for installation and set-up and a monthly charge of $90 for the monthly service. Thats out of the question.
My problem comes as I try to download some of the videos posted on this site. I have given up trying due to the countless hours involved with dial-up.
Last week I downloaded an 18 second video an it took 36 minutes.
Does anybody know of a way I can speed up these downloads???

Call sprint and get a internet stick it plugs into any computer anywhere you go and is faster access to net runs about $60 a month.

Verizon does this as well for about the same cost

You may have several problems, slow computer and internet. You can sign up for accelerator service from you’re your ISP. If you are using an accelerator than it may be your computer is too slow.
