Fished with Fishrod and White Cap on Monday with several quality fish landed, see videos.

One odd fish was landed with its guts hanging out, it appears that this rainbow, about 12”, got too close to a boat’s prop wash and got hit by the prop. The picture is too gross to post. It had several cut on the abdomen. The fish took a lure on the starboard rigger set at 35’.

Nice fish, did you release that big bow to fight another day? Monday morning was awesome with the weather and all to surface action. I fished mon. and today first time since the derby. It was nice to get out on the lake and catch some fish.

Yes, I’m planning on catching it again when it’s an 8 pounder. It made one short run peeling off some line, felt like it could have been a Laker for a while, was a little surprise to see that it spit the hook out when netted, lucky I guess.

That's great! I fly fish the tribs in the spring and fall and look forward to hopefully finding him and getting a chance to catch a monster like that on my 5wt.
