Did it about 1 month ago,targeted rainbows and caught all lakers 20 feet and higher going at about 2.5 mph and higher.Not one bow was landed go figure.Trolled to the left coming out of the launch,hit all the humps and down along the ledges,it was a nice trip just the same.Good luck polebreaker
Barry, Newfound can be a good producer of Lakers, Salmon count has gone down the last two years for us. They do stock a fair amount of Rainbows. Have had good luck off of Cliff Island toward the Ledges. It is a very clean lake also with a decent launch and parking area. Good Luck!
I fished it for the first time friday night and saturday. caught 4 rainbows and 3 lakers over the 2 days. all at 25' on down rigger and 6-7 colors of leadcore. guide specials and db smelt orange/gold, orange and black dots. I'll definetly fish there again this year.
Thanks for the info heading over there tomorrow will post results still rehabing the knee so weekdays are better not as much traffic at the launches.TKS BARRY
