Fished outside of Sodus Bay with Cap't Brian Neal on the "Coho Motion" with two friends. Mon, Thermo was very wide and we fished in 50-70' of water. Caught a couple nice Browns, a bow, a few small kings, and two nice 18-20# Kings. The lake laid down since Adrien's trip. We had two to threes. Tues, the thermo tightened up a little and we fished in 170 to 200' of water. Fish were in 70 to 90' of water. We caught 5 Kings from 20 to 25#s, a 10# Atlantic and a nice brown. My buddy hooked on to a 25 lber that screamed out 600' of line. The bad news was, the King grabbed the lure, spit it and was brought in by the tail! The lake was down to 1 to 2's Tues. Mon, we trolled a couple leadcores at 9 colors. I hooked on to an 18 lber that screamed out 9 more colors, before I could start reeling him in. All I can say about Kings is, beauty, power, and SPEED! As Adrien or Craig said, green and white spin Dr's with G&W flies were the hottest for us. I am going to ask Gus to put up a picture of a 20# King I brought in off a rigger.

Sounds good! Fished there a few times with Primetime Charters. Nice little area to fish out of. Sounds like they are off to a good start. Sodus doesn't usually get going for Kings until August. Where did you stay?
Thanks for the atta boy, guys. Thanks for posting the pic Gus. Proline, we stay at a cottage owned by Cap't Brian right beside his house. Both are a quarter mile from Sodus Point or Conneley's resturant. It is part of the package. Cap't Brian says that it is "just stupid", how MANY, BIG, kings are being caught right now. The trip before us was getting as many as 20 to 25 hook ups a day.Just back from a 2 day wedding and heading out for another one right now. Needless to say, I would rather be fishing!
