I think the author has many valid points. With all due respect to him, I wish he had not stated that the "majority" of the salmon in Winni suffer from hook wounds. Many of us know the actual percentage listed by NHF&G. An inaccurate statement like that tends to spread around. I agree that the (I believe 27 percent) is higher than it could be. I wonder if any consideration is given to how many times each of the hook wounded fish have been caught and released? Politics was mentioned in the article. The inaccuracy of the aforementioned statement eerily sounds like something our present administration might try to "sell" to America.
