Easy Ed joined me on the "Peggy C" today and it was a great day on the water. The bite's still on! Flies down 8 colors and 38 to 44' on riggers. We "spanked" the salmon today with a few rainbows and lakers in the mix. Had one salmon jump completely over a set downrigger rod and was able to net it on the other side. We had tripples at one time and one lead core line snapped right at the planer board release. I pulled in the board released the line and pulled in 8 colors by hand. The fish got caught around the otter boat, pulled it back to the boat and caught the fish. (all that for a small laker) A couple of gents from Maine pulled along side and showed us a 14# laker they just caught.
Beautiful day, shrimp cocktail for breakfast, and the fish were hitting. Life is good!!!
