Good job, your on your way now, those are good depths. If you have a marine radio, call out on Channel 12 and guys will give you help on where, what, how deep, etc.
If you see allot of boats trolling in an area, get over there quick. Best to be out before the crack of dawn, the bite only last so long some days for bst action, after that it's sit and wait, or go home and try again the next day.
