Center Harbor Bay is frozen as well as some of the northern bays...such as areas off States Landing Rd.
There are a couple of reasons for the change to an earlier date for the Derby. One, the Sled Dog Race officals put pressure on the Rotary to change to a different weekend as well as the local hotels/motels/resturants. Also fishermen did not want to have it on Super Bowl Weekend. So the Rotary relented! Lets support the Rotary as they put all the money back into local causes!!
