I have never posted anything on this sight before but I do read it occasionally.I've seen a few "silent fisherman" like myself come out of the woodwork to add thier thoughts, so I figured I would add mine.I'm not sure exactly what the problem is but I think we all know and have known that there is one.It basically took fish and game cancelling the derby for all of us to admit there is a problem.We can all do things to improve the situation, but placing blame on any one thing is just silly, it's a combination of factors.We have some of the best fisheries biologists in the country working for fish and game.We need to let them figure this out and listen exactly to the solutions they come up with.We may not like them and there may be new rules but I'm sure it will be for the better.I agree with what Jason Parent said about "if you build it they will come", well they did and the salmon suffered.It takes something like this to wake us up, but it also educates us for future problems.
