Many have proposed slot limits as a possible solution. I believe a slot limit would not work with the landlocked salmon. the problem in the lake is the lack of healthy growth/hook wounds....(the hook wounds are not healing because the fish are not as healthy as they should be). We are not dealing with an over harvest problem at all. slots are meant to protect over harvest.

The fish we catch lately are not full of smelt! the problem is very simple, the lake does not have enough food to keep the fish healthy! Fix that and you will solve the problem. This same thing happened in the mid 80's..... and I recall seeing more boats out trolling those days than i see today.
