Hi been stuck on this one for the longest time. I have researched and documented my line back to the marriage of Robert Douglas and Margaret Morton in Strathkinness nr St Andrews in 1718. However the OPR does not give any indication to either of their parents and although it says that both parties are of the parish of Strathkinness I cannot find any register of Robert's birth or any other Douglas births around this time. There are other Robert Douglasses born around the right kind of time throughout Fife but other than guess work I dont know which if any is the right one. Does anyone have any ideas or any information on this line?
