I have been quite stuck and perhaps someone will have the answers.
Col. William Douglas 1731 Ayrshire Scotland- 1783 Loudoun Virginia.
I trace him back to Hugh Douglas/Hume , Douglas/Craufurd , Douglas/Campbell then a dead end.
I have found a reference to Farquhar but that takes me nowhere.
