Andrew Snape Douglas

Hello,
I have found a dusty book yesterday and I believe that the owner of this book might have been Captain Andrew Snape Douglas. It has a dedication to his son to whom he gave the book and the date of it- 9th of May 1795. The son must have been young as his father refers to him as ‘boy’. There is also another dedication (I presume from the son that has owned the book since) dated October 1854. There is also a printed but faded name Douglas with the initials A and S at the before the surname. Between the capital A and S there is a small v.
I am really interested in history and ancestry and I would never ever sell this book or get rid of it. I was just looking for some extra information. Does anyone know what the name of Andrew Snape’s son would have been? And of his grandson? I could not find a family tree anywhere.
