I've been tracing my family tree, but have been stuck for over 2 years with the following problem. The furthest back I can get is with Jane Douglas, allegedly born about 1820 in Colvend,Dumfriesshire/ Kirkcudbrightshire? According to her death certificate, her parents were William Douglas and Jane Walton?, but I can't trace their births or marriage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
