I too, lived on Canton and went to school there, regarding the Ueyehara's, I know of this family, there son Gary and I are the same age group. and we had great times there. the last time I saw gary was back in the early sixties, I spent my middle school years on Wake Island, after leaving wake for Hawaii, I ran into Gary and he was getting ready to attend private school. so as far as I know they are living in Hawaii, I am now living in Washington State. planning on moving back to Hawaii soon.. I too think of Canton Island. It was the happiest memories for me.
