Hello,
I am trying to do some research for my grandfather concerning Canton Island. He is hoping that I may even be able to find some of the people he served with and it would bring me a great deal of joy to be able to do this for him.
My grandfather's name is Paul Geiger and he was a Sargent in the Army Air Corp., his group leader was Captain Cheney. He served in the Weather Bureau in 1943 on Canton Island. My grandfather was born in 1922 (so he would have been about 21 at the time) and he was from Columbus, Ohio but spent most of his childhood in Bucyrus, Ohio.
