The basic old program (version 4.08.01) seems to run fine under wine, which is great. However, if I use Ctrl-F1 to access an Old Testament passage, I get a window saying

"Invalid reference for locked program under WINE. Unlock program to access Old Testament passages."

I can get the passage easily enough other ways, e.g., by following a cross reference from another passage, or by scrolling the window to get to the passage: just not by specifying the passage directly.

It looks like this is a deliberate "feature" for WINE installations, but the instructions on how to unlock versions don't seem to apply here.

Anybody know how to proceed?

The standard use under Wine is lilimited by the programmer so you can test it and see how it works with New testament passages. However for full use you need a special DVD edition. For this you should contact one of the dvd distributors to obtain the special dvd
