Re: What does religion do?

This is Christianity's use. I can answer it and do so with great passion because I am free to do so.

Christianity provides a narcotic to dull the pain of people who do not have the courage to believe in themselves.

It gives them a person who has suffered more than they possibly could, so that they can endure life's pain.

It gives purpose, thus saving lazy people from going out and living life with a purpose.

It gives people something to believe in when they are too irrational to come up with their own beliefs.

I serves as a moral compass so that we won't all go off and have fun and live life authentically and naturally.

It provides people with a community, a group of people whom they believe are their friends.

It gives people a place to hold Christmas concerts and parties as well as somewhere to go on and something to do on Sundays or Saturdays for those offshoots who prefer this day.

You see, it has many uses; we just need to look a little harder.

My passion know no bounds when it comes to this topic.
