A [memory]dream that occured to me a couple of weeks ago


finding myself quite mysteriously in a dark corridor


to a house apartment where I discover a doorbell with


bold capital letters writing the name HOLGER CZUKAY


[and other german words also in adress]- as if seemed to be moved in a greek house apartment - while immediately I discover


suddenly myself half dressed [ or half-naked ] just after


went out from the elevator and before ringing .But then I must leave and come back dressing myself properly , while


the dream comes to an end ....

This is what it's all about, really. We must ask Mr. Czukay, "Holger, when you were playing for the drunks on the Reeperbahn in your young Jetliners days, did you dream of the day when you would be famous and fans from around the world would mail you stories about the fantasies they have of stalking you outside your apartment door, half-naked?"




Did von Karajan receive similar letters? Did Stockhausen?




To be fair, though, I once had a similar dream that I was knocking (fully clothed) at Marlene Dietrich's door. She didn't answer, so I went to knock on Greta Garbo's door. Also no reply.. (See, even my dreams are difficult.)




One day I hope to have a dream that I'll knock on U-She's door. And, in the tradition of the screen goddesses, she won't answer it either.
