If my ex does not attend the first hearing, does anyone know what will happen? Will the court proceed without him or schedule a new date? It is an uncontested divorce, and he has already agreed to everything that I have asked for in his answer that he filed with the court.

from my understanding in an uncontested divorce you can walk into a court room and divorce him with out him being there. In some cases you can get more than you are after due to the fact that he is a no show. That happened to my Aunt, her and her ex had things worked out and when she presented her documents to teh judge he awarded her more than her ex agreed to...just for the fact that he wasn't there, he had no choice but to pay her more because it was final. When he did contest to it the judge told his attorney that if he wanted to contest he should have been there in the first place. Him not showing showed her that he did not care. That was on Florida
