I am looking into a "do it yourself" divorce. Is there a way to have child support automatically deducted from ex's paycheck so I don't have to count on him? Not sure how to do that with the diy method. Any ideas?
I went though the county's Domestic relations office. It didn't cost me a thing. I went in filled out the paper work. There is no need for an attorney when filing for child support, but it's good to have one. They did it all. Set up the court date, sent the papers to my ex. I didn't even tell him I was filing. Went to the hearing and walked away with the percentage the state gave me ( I have since had it modified because my ex is making more money and didn't notify the office)
DR charged my ex with the hearing cost ($35) and that was that.
