legal guardian interview/child custody

my husband wants full custody- at least 50%,
we are to meet with legal guardian for our four children under 13
and i have been primary caretaker all along... i work part time and he full time.

just wanted to know if anyone has experience with this type of situation
and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

ps we are in ny
my husband is a control freak and is just trying to hurt me rather than do what's best for our kids.

thanks

Re: legal guardian interview/child custody

He is most likely trying to get his child support lowered by having them 50% or more. I live in CA so I'm sure it might be different. Unless there is a good reason the courts here tend to give 50% custody to each parent. Believe me this is not an easy thing for anyone. There are school issues and they always leave things they need at the other parents house. Different rules one house to the other. I have never personally had to deal with this but I know alot of women who do. Do you have an attorney? Who is going to take care of these kids while he works? What do the kids want? Please be prepared because it seem the courts worry more about the parents rights than the childrens. Know we are in your corner.
