It depends on what state you live in. Some are final right away and others may take a month or more. You should be able to look that up on line where you live.
In Missouri it is final as soon as the judge signs off on it. You could turn right around and get married if you wanted. There is a 30 day period either party has to contest anything that was found out after the papers were signed, but the divorce itself is final.
