Re: Wish me Luck

Hi CelticChick831,

Just be yourself and be honest about everything or whatever you want her to know; if you are responsible for anything, own up to it, even though you are made out to be a bad gal; nobody is perfect and your sincerity will help her to understand. And good luck to you.

Re: Wish me Luck

I will certainky wish you luck and hope it goes well with your MIL. Family relationships can add so much additional stress to an already difficult time. I myself have not yet told my parents what is happening with my marriage. They are elderly, mom is not in the best of health, and they are 1400 miles away in my hometown. I just couldn't see this being a conversation to have over the telephone. So I plan to fly to see them next month to break the news. I absolutely dread telling them. It is going to break their hearts, this has never happened in our family before and they are not of a generation that will understand this at all. Hell, I am of a generation where divorce is common and even I don't understand it in our situation. I will be thinking about you Friday and hoping it goes well.
