At over age 50, reading this...…..it's very sad to be with someone who is raw, rude, nitpicky and a nag. It is common in my experience that most men want to appear emotionally strong even if that is not their nature. Do you suspect he may be having an affair on line or otherwise since he doesn't want to try in the marriage? Sounds like he would make a good visiting Daddy, but is not husband material. Sorry you have gone through this. I hope you can get a consultation with a Family Divorce Attorney regarding a possible separation/divorce to see what is at stake sometime in the new year. If he doesn't want to try counseling, then it is probably over. Make sure you get your child support if you both separate. Best wishes to you and your child.

The relationship should be viewed as it is right now. If it was not good since the beginning it probably won’t improve now. You need to stand up for yourself. I had same issues
