Does anyone know if this is a thing? My husband and I both have health issues and he also has a history of secretive and compulsive spending habits.

I don't want a full divorce or to live separately, I just want to be protected from his debts (including to the IRS) if he hides more income or opens yet another secret credit card account (there's been over 10 so far).

My state is community property and doesn't have legal separation, so I don't think "married filing separate" with the IRS will protect me (and the kids).

I'd be willing to move anywhere on the planet if it has laws that protect me from his issues.
