My husband takes a prescribed medicine (Lowest dose) called Klonopin for almost 30 years because he suffers from panic attacks (it just come out of no where) and this medicine is the only one that help him
My question is
Can a medicine like this can get a person
Angry , Controlling and manipulative and even not having empathy to other people ?
Because many times he do this to me and to other people
(Should I blame his behavior because of his panic attack medicine)
Hi, I just googled the potential side-effects if this drug. 30 years is a long stretch to be taking it for. Angry? Maybe…But manipulative? Isn’t that predominantly to do with personality rather than mental health as it invokes making a choice???
Sounds like he is a narcissist- classic narcissistic behavior, manipulative, no empathy for others, controlling, gas lighting. Look into this personality disorder. It will help you understand & how to deal with him.

I believe even with treatment there no guarantee if he will get healed
