I left my emotionally abusive husband just over five years ago, after 15 years together. I have just submitted my initial divorce papers: I waited five years so he couldn’t contest it ( I know the law changed recently making divorce easier).

When l left him I had counselling through Women’s Aid which was helpful, and the last couple of years l have started dating again. What l went through with my ex: has changed how I am with men- I struggle to trust and am always looking for signs and reasons to end the relationship. I want to meet someone: but my ex started off nice and changed over time.
