Is it unreasonable to wait until a full year not living together before we divorce?
Here in Oz we lived separated for 7 months before selling the house and moving apart. If we apply to divorce now we have to do an affidavit to explain our whole relationship and basically how it has failed beyond repair. If we wait until May 2023 we dont need to do that. Is OT unreasonable for me to ask to wait a few extra months so I don't have to do affidavit and dredge up the past all before Christmas?

I think that's totally reasonable, Amanda. There's no point in rushing it if the divorce has been decided on. As someone going through separation during the holidays, I can attest to the absolute emotional hell it is. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Best of luck.
