Re: UK or UAE

Don't let him bully or threaten you.

Compare the details of what each option would mean for you. Are you legally protected in each scenario?

Fight for what would be better for you.

Good luck!

Re: UK or UAE

For goodness sake obtain your own legal counsel. Your STBE may be right or he may be lying. But your partner only gets to make the decisions you allow. Good luck.

Re: UK or UAE

Hi,

today I finalised my divorce in Dubai court from India. It took 5 months in the family court. Being an Islamic country they give a lot of chances for reconciliation to the guys. They asked him if he wants to divorce and till the end he kept saying he doesn’t want to. I asked for “khula” which means I’m asking for divorce and dissolving all marital rights. There were threats and he gave me tons of emotional stress but surprisingly he co operated in the end.

If you’re doing it in the UAE get a very-good lawyer and you will have to be very patient coz it might take really long there. They are not very cooperative and will keep pushing your around to different departments.
