It's over. Bringing it to Wellsley was the biggest mistake. PIP Labor Fest has clearly taken over with Stoney Creek opting to go to Pittsburgh rather than NAHA. Glad my girls got to play there it during its heydays when every single scout from every single D1 school was in Stowe/Burlington. It used to be a great weekend.
We'd all like to be in Burlington this weekend watching hockey and drinking craft brews, but it is far from over.
There are 30, U19 teams playing. This morning for a 7:10am puck drop at BSI there were at least 15 scouts watching on the glass and more upstairs watching the game (both D1 & D3).
Will miss the trip to Burlington, but it's still viable.
Sorry- have to disagree here. Who wants to travel to Pittsburgh or Burlington VT over Labor Day weekend. Much better to host it in Massachusetts- closer proximity for coaches and more importantly, the players....many of whom go to prep school and also have to play fall sports. Enabled them to play both this past weekend.
