I just moved to the area and have a 2011 daughter who is a very solid player. She played boys hockey where we moved from and I am trying to find her a home. We are very close to the Edge and would love to get her one of the Wizards boys teams even as an alternate if we had to and she could play there in addition to our town program. I believe she would be competitive on one of their elite boys teams. However one of the parents from our town program is adamant that the Wizards will not let girls play on their boys teams. Before I waste my time can anyone confirm if their is any truth to this?

If your daughter plays on a town team, you should consider their girls program because they are at a similar level and also compete in the valley league against town co-ed teams. If your daughter is really good, consider EHF elite & platinum teams.
Ok. So we know the Wizards boys program is not even close to a top program and doesn’t play in the top league in the area and that the girls side is one of the strongest in New England (which makes it among the strongest in the country). So do they allow girls to play for their boys teams or not?
No they do not let girls play on their boys but they do let boys play on their girls team.
