what league are they in? It's their first year around...
Birdie told me two of their health bombs ended up at Lovell .
I think they are the future. They have had a good first year it’s been kinda chaotic because they are staying in hotels because the academy isn’t finished yet. 60k is ridiculous especially for online school…online school is free the town pays for it. Lovell does have the connections that most coaches do not have which is a good thing. But lovell/advantage coaches are kinda crazy. They have good skills i’ve heard but the coaches do not know how to coach.
Is it just online school?
I don’t know. Right now I know it’s online school because they’re staying in the hotel. And I know they’ve hired teachers but since the academy isn’t done yet they can’t teach their so i’m not sure. The academy was supposed to be finished at the end of last may beginning of june and I took my kid for a tournament there a couple weeks ago and the academy is not even close to being done and the rink will is open to skate but their bar and all the other fun activities aren’t done. I believe
Bar and Restaurant are done/open. Bowling alley looks done too.
I recently spoke to a Lovell parent. It is NOT online. They have real teachers (I don't know anything about the teachers or the curriculum). They're using spaces within the rink that are unused during weekdays.
I recently was chatting with a Lovell parent. He said they have real teachers (i.e. not online).
I think what people are forgetting in their answers is they are an academy. They don't need to play in a league. Guy above was correct. Look at NAHA. Half the price and 3 x the games. Games agaisnt top tier 1 competition across North America. That is what Lovell should be doing. If you are willing to attend a hockey academy you need to be willing to travel. Travel to the competition and top tournaments is the key if you want to play the best. Otherwise you sit home and play VJW and other **** clubs around NE and NY.
Perhaps Lovell is working on getting into more tournaments. It's their first year. Sheesh.
The Lovell girls are mainly 09’s. The top Wizards team is almost all 08’s. A year of Lovell development they will at the top of the U14’s by the time they are 08’s.
Lovell lost to u13 Warriors 2-1 today. The 2 most loved teams in Mass.
