Interesting first week for Girls prep.

Cushing bombs Brooks 7 - 3 and then gets beat by Tabor 4 - 1

Loomis beats Choate 4 - 0 and losses to Nobles 4 - 0

Nobles beats Loomis by 4 and loses to New Hampton 2 - 0

New Hampton beats Nobles 2 - 0 and gets beat by Milton 4 - 1

Dexter beats BB&N 1 zip and ties Thayer 2 -2

Williston beats St Paul's 5 -2

A bit more parity then usual or just first week jitters for some?

From the few games I've seen goaltending is the difference. Teams outshoot their opponent and carry the play but end up losing due to a great performance in net.

Its always that way. A bunch of mediocre goaltenders even with the top prep teams. Those that have a stud rise to the top quickly.

So who has the best goaltending?

I don't know this year as my kids prep team has only played 2 teams. Last year Rivers, Nobles and Williston clearly had stellar goalies and were hard to beat. I do agree with the above. Talented goalie in prep makes all the difference.
