From the few games I've seen goaltending is the difference. Teams outshoot their opponent and carry the play but end up losing due to a great performance in net.

Its always that way. A bunch of mediocre goaltenders even with the top prep teams. Those that have a stud rise to the top quickly.
I don't know this year as my kids prep team has only played 2 teams. Last year Rivers, Nobles and Williston clearly had stellar goalies and were hard to beat. I do agree with the above. Talented goalie in prep makes all the difference.
