Another concerned parent who dislikes Boston Advantage? Here is my email- jconnolly17@gmail.com. Please email me and make yourself known behind your little anonymous keyboa** in your basement so I can tell you why the score was 26-0 and not 50-0 (which it very well could have been if I didn’t have my team 5 pass before even entering the zone and shooting). Teaching players respect and humility for the opponent is something that we have done from day one. The real issue is the tournament allowing teams that are not elite level to enter. Again, please email me I’d love to discuss and find out who this is who is so greatly concerned about Boston Advantage 2014 team stats. Pathetic.

Shots fired! I missed these beauties of the old boa.**
My 8 year old’s PHL team had a 30 spot hung on them by the Railers in a friendly today. They didn’t do anything like 3 passes for a shot. And the coach let his son hang at least a dozen goals and celly every time. Be glad that BA handled it well because these ex NHL players who are coaches did not. In a freaking friendly.
Coming from a parent on the team that lost 26-0, I have absolutely no concern about how Advantage handled the game. They scored at will in the 1st. Passed a gazillion times in the 2nd before scoring. Basically weren't allowed to shoot in the 3rd. They scored a goal with 5 seconds left in the game, pretty much on accident. The player looked upset knowing he wasn't supposed to shoot.
The coach is right about lower level teams entering the tournament. It is the reason why MHR is so valuable. If this were a January tournament the Squirt Minor teams may have been separated into two divisions from the outset and this game would never have happened. It is unfortunate in the sense that it is not easy to compare team skills from across different regions.
Kudos to BA for handling the game they way they did. It is a phenomenal team. One that probably should focus on playing 2013s instead of 2014s for which they are clearly better than pretty much everyone else out there. Follow the 2012 MFF game scheduling model. Keep up the great work Jeff!

5 goals in 2nd and 10 goals in 3rd doesn't do your reasoning any justice
The stats were likely entered backward. I thought it was 11-0, 21-0, and 26-0 after the 3 periods. The tournament organizers had enough to do in order to get picky with entering stats perfectly.

Good point, I'm sure the scorebox was backlogging goals
