Can someone explain the value of repeating to me? Spend 50g and repeat a year of high/prep school? All for what? A better chance to play college hockey? This year we get a 06 -16 y/o freshman. And people ***** about the boys doing the junior thing.

While neither of my kids have reclassed, I can understand when other parents do it. If your kid would have a tough time making Varsity and getting playing time staying with their current class, it buys the kid another year to physically and mentally develop and have the life experience of being a meaningful, valued member of the team. What experience do you want for your kid? Are they the kid who gets cut altogether in their junior year, or the kid who's the fourth-liner who has to prove themselves every time they're allowed to dress and get their 53 seconds of garbage-time in the 3** period of a blowout? Or do they grow up confident in their ability, appreciated and respected by their teammates, and still loving the game?
What's wrong with 17 year old freshman and 24 year old college graduates? Come on, you know that extra year or 2 is going to allow them to be so much better. ............
Listen, use this as an expample.... although its boys its still the same. Minnesota Mens Hockey roster has multiple 25 year old seniors and 20 year old freshmen..... yes correct! go look and verify for yourselve.

It's girls hockey. What is that extra 2 years of reclassing and losing friends doing for them? Hoping for that educational juggernaut Quinnipiac over Salem State? Come on. Get real folks.
