Maybe not the worst thing.

Kids with the possibility of playing hockey post HS should be steered towards prep and U16/U18. It will give others a chance to play high school hockey in the MIAA who might not have gotten the opportunity previously. While it does mean the quality will suffer a bit I don't see it overall as a negative if more kids get to experience the high school game.

Understand your point but MIAA does nothing to keep the student athletes. Honestly the Div 1 games I saw this year had multiple kids that could barely stop never mind skate. I bet some elite Squirt teams from the EHF could beat Div 1 high school teams in MIAA.

Agree 100%. Watched the S8 1st & 2nd round games and the talent was lacking.
BCH had 1 dominant forward, goaltending was good.
MC no dominant forwards, goaltending good.
Walpole no dominant forwards, goaltending exceptional (never saw a team so outplayed and carried by their goalie. For those that do not agree, please go watch the replays on NFHS).

That maybe true but I watch the rivers school play in the championship game against kimball and they were horrible
Kimball looked as you would expect from a prep team but rivers not so much. Their coach was amazing just keeping his team even close to a much better team

So true! This tool is probably dragging his kid from FED tryout to FED tryout telling everybody how bad hockey is. He will not settle for an Elite 8 program like Rivers. Wait until reality sets in and his kid gets cut from his d2 High school team. But coach, my kid played in the FED and he is so much better than those 5 d1 commits at Rivers! But, But, But coach...

I wish my kid played at Rivers!! It would have to be at a deep discount for it to be worth our while ( not deep enough pockets) Still, we know good hockey and you are delusional They make it to the Elite 8 Finals and they suck? ha ha ok.

Have to agree with last poster, Rivers was very good this year. Really well coached and kids played really well together. Making it to the Elite 8 finals is nothing to sneeze at.
