Yeah...about $30 - $40 per game and over a 20 game season it's....$600 - $800 B.F.D.


You would probably cut down available ice time by 1/3 over the course of a day.

So it's much more of a cash loss than you're estimating.


I'll go and try to rent 6 minutes of ice time and I'll let you know if it's more than $40. . . . D-I should be playing that at least.

So at the majority of rinks where the net comes off it's mooring at least a couple times a period, play stops, change lines, line them up for a face off, drop the puck then wouldn't it make economic sense under the "6 minutes per game is too expensive" for this rinks to spend a couple hundred dollars to install a reasonable anchoring device?

An extra half hour of ice plus probably a higher rate for officials is more than you are estimating.

And in today's school environment, they would not sign up for a nickel more.

Straight up question, my kid is in Prep. Do the students have to pay for hockey? Do they pay full freight, or does the school absorb some of the cost?
