Help me on this. Why do you care so much? Why judge them before Day 1? Maybe you're right. Maybe you're wrong. But, why are you so dead set on your wanting to see them fail?

I think I could wrap my head around your POV more if I could understand the lens you're looking through. "NCDC Sux" doesn't do it for me.

The way they have gone about everything. Their business model is terrible. They toot their own horn enough before playing a single game. Have we heard from a single college coach who is now thrilled he can go to more Tier 3 games?

OK, thanks. My kid plays in the league. Not NCDC, but he's young. NCDC is a possibility this year of he has the kind of year he's capable of. Next year is more of a probability, and it would be nice to have that as a choice. So, we're thrilled if NCDC is better than Premier was. Even a little better.

We don't know their business model is terrible. It will take probably three years for that to be known.

And we don't know what coaches are going to think because they haven't played a single game.

I won't disagree with you that their publicity is over the top. But, there's an easy solution for that. If you don't like it, unfollow the league and all the teams on Twitter. That's the only place I see their stuff.

It just seems a bit much for you to be so repeatedly negative about something that doesn't seem to be directly impacting your kid, because they like to issue press releases.

What do you care what college coaches think or want? Nothing has changed, except this league is now free! Tier 1, 2, 3... Whatever! League was good, now it is free. Will it get better? Probably but time will tell. The fact that they broke away from USA hockey may bite them in the butt.

As a father of a 14 year old, we are hopeful this league will grow to be a viable option for our son in the coming years. As for college, you could do much worse than Trinity. Good education, decent hockey, I think the kid will be ok.

But if their 'Best' can only land a D-3 deal I wouldn't be using that as a marketing ploy.

This (NCDC Sux) Clown does not realize that about 30%-40% of those who play in the NAHL end up playing D3, if at all. Whereas Trinity, a great academic school that has been in two of the last three D3 National Championships. There are plenty of kids on that roster who have played or could play D1. There are some that could not play D1. At the end of the day it is very good hockey and one of the best academic schools in the country.

Personally, I hope the NCDC is successful. I have no reason to hate on them. It would be great for local kids to stay local during their gap year. Seems like a win all the way around!

Now, now "one of the best academic schools in the country" might be just a bit of a reach.

U.S. News has them at #38 for liberal arts colleges so it you place the 50 or 60 national universities ahead of it then it doesn't seem so special. But it's on the east coast and it's expensive so it must be good.

1. I say Great! Some say good. US News says #38 in Liberal Arts schools which all told means top 75- top 100. I guess that would make it top 2-3% of all colleges. Nothing to sneeze at.

2. You do realize every year there are many, many D1 players transferring out to D3? Many of the top D3 players realized that they were on the fence/borderline D1 and made the best decision for them. Call it a smart , preemptive choice.

3. USA does not believe in the NCDC's Business model and therefore turned them down. Their prerogative, perspective and agenda. The NCDC did not agree and chose to go in a different direction. How will this turn out? We will have to wait and see.

Not a chance. At least Becker isnt on probation like Trinity. Classy team right there. D3 runners up. Next year on probation for violations. Maybe thats why the "Best Defenseman " committed there.

On probation....sounds serious -
