Northeast Generals
Generals are being brought into this? Why? First year program that really struggled but the facts are wrong. Zero players left for other leagues on their own. We had a ton of turnover because we constructed a poor roster. But all said and done we had 15 NCAA commitments which I don't think is too bad for a 4 win team. And we had a good draft this year. Good tenders and should be decent. Go check out a game and then say we suck. And all others leagues are good too. Each league has its own positives and like us their own negatives. NCDC will be a fine league with good players and good owners. EHL runs a great league, and on and on. I come on here to check out what is happening and not sure why we get brought up all the time because we came in and failed in the first year? No time to adjust to league? Talk to players and parents about how they were treated and how the experience was. Judge us on that in year one. This year? Judge us on wins and losses and still treating players, fans (yes we have a few) and the community with respect. If anyone has a real issue you can contact ownership they have their emails on their website and will always listen to people on how to improve both in and off ice.
You didn't "fail" your inaugural year. It's a strong league, and whether you win 4 or 40 games, the players still developed by the sheer level of competition alone. You can't judge success on wins and losses. Anyone that does doesn't understand hockey.
Don't judge public opinion by what is written here. It is a minority opinion expressed by disgruntled fathers. My kid will be looking your way next year and the year after that, and we will be more than happy to talk with you.

They hated coming to play because the team and coach were a joke. Is the coach still a former public high school coach? Come on. Are you saying that a team shouldn't be judged by wins and losses? How about a -180 goal differential?

The most amazing thing is you won 4 games. I would have hated to be in the opposing locker room or on that bus.
The fact that coach was even in that position shows the thinking or lack there of in the organization. Matter of time before this little experiment ends or better yet join NCDC. That may be the answer.

Although I am one of the guy's who is all over NCDC Sux guy, I gotta agree with the goalie sentiment. I found it striking that the Generals guy mentions, " Good tenders this year". Really, you can make a fair assessment of last years goalies based off of what they had in front of them? I am sure your goalie from last years draft went elsewhere because he realized it was a no win proposition for him

Either/or in the case of the NE Generals. I would love to see the shots on goal stats. I am shocked more goalies didn't quit mid-game. I did actually pay to see a game. It was honestly laughable. I felt so bad for both teams.

That magazine has been writing scathing pieces on the league and RG in particular lately. The USPHL/NCDC pulled their advertising the week before the piece cam out. I do read the magazine occasionally to find out about the comings and goings but it is really hard to take the magazine seriously. That particular piece " Rating Tier 3 leagues" does not provide any insight or argument as to why one league is better than the other. It really comes across as " Oh your pulling your advertising so we will create a Headline" Very Hollow!
Same mag has written so many articles claiming how wonderful NCDC was gonna be quoting not a single college coach. Now if this is "fake news" not one article written on the new "NCDC" is legit. The plot thickens.
I have never seen someone so insanely obsessed about a league failing and someone wanting it to fail before the puck even drops. You need a life dude! We get it, your kid is awesome cause he plays in the NAHL. Have fun trying to go watch him in corpus christie in January. I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing.
I can watch on Hockey TV or fly to see him play and enjoy with the 3000 others at the game. I am thinking you and Juniors Mom will be the only ones at the NCDC game. Maybe you can tie his skates for him and get his favorite color gatorade for after the game.
There is ONE team in that league that draws that well. Nice try.
Titans vs Generals and anything else on the east coast gets about 75 people
NAHL draw over 1 Million fans a year consistently. Get a clue.
The Generals draw about 10 fans a game and half of them got in free. CCHL is pay to play and places 90% of the players in D3 .
Half of Generals team left ( Not Cut) midseason for the EHL and USPHL. Roster spots filled by midseason cuts, BA u18 kids and kids who were offered USPHL Elite ( not Premiere) spots.
I do wish them well and would love to see the NAHL get established locally

No but you did say $2000 and implied that 3000 people go to every NAHL game. Pretty sad you are actually rooting for a local hockey league to fail simply because your kid plays like 2000 miles away and you don't want that hockey "watered down". As hockey an alleged hockey guy, why would you want that? So you can pound your chest and say your kid is a Jackalope or something that 95% of people don't have a clue what that even means? Sad.

You clearly don't know jack about hockey. Because if your kid is playing NAHL for a second straight year, it means he has maxed out. He did't develop, probably because he wasn't good enough to get significant minutes. He's entering his third year of living away from home, and has really very little to show for it. You're probably hoping for that slim chance to be a 20 year old rookie in the USHL. Which rarely happens, and even more rarely ever leads to anything after that.

Never said that. It's just not what YOU think it is. And yes, I have seen the hockey. The level of skating is poor and I wouldn't say its a high quality skill level either. Saw about a dozen games when figuring out where to have my kid play for this year and decided it just wasn't worth it, and were advised by about 15 people to stay away. That's a fact. Unlike the garbage you are spreading with the "my kid plays in it so it's awesome and they get a lot of fans"

Dude 3000 people went to see the New Hampshire High School hockey championships last year. Does that make it good hockey?
They were the best high school players in NH. NAHL are some of the best Junior players in the US. Thats why noone will go see the NCDC games or Championship. Is simply Sux.
And that's based on all ZERO of the games that have been played so far correct?
Same league and same coaches as USPHL Premier. They changed the cost and name. Might have gotten worse by absorbing some EHL teams.

The most recent article dates 8/2/17 lists the top 20 Jr leagues. NCDC is 6, Ehl 7, CCHL 12th. Why are you all so bitter? Let's just wait and see
