I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often, the behavior at rinks has been an issue for years. It's worse now than it was 5 or 6 years ago, and it was pretty bad then.

People do not understand it is a game. Sure those PLAYING THE GAME may get heated. But the parents and spectators losing it is terrible. That is what the zebras are for on the ice. Yes, I know your feelings about them. They are human. That is why these places/rinks are getting Live Barn. It is not just to watch Junior play but to watch the knuckleheads in the stands and around the glass. It is sold to rinks as extra security.
There is no reason for anyone to put hands on another person's kid. Even if the kid maybe act like their parents in the stands on the ice.
Are we going to need a Detail Officer in every rink, every weekend?
People complaining about tuition fees now. Just wait until you are paying for a detail officer at the rate of ($28.00 PLUS AN HOUR) and a union contract 4 to 8 hours minimum.
It will be cutting into their profits. There goes tuition up.
Just relax and watch the game (sit on your hands and shut your mouth).

BJT u16 played Boch Militia u15 in Foxboro on Monday. BJT won 5-1.

Heard police were called and the father who punched the kid got arrested. Also, heard the father that hit the kid got taken out in an ambulance. Anyone know the real story? Any BJT U16 or Militia U15 people here??? Bueller, Bueller, Anyone, Anyone???

Yes it did happen. Was precipitated by an end of the game skirmish on the ice between a few of the players. As Boch skated off the ice, a BJT dad slapped a Boch kid and got mauled by two dads and a couple of the players.

Was that the end of it? Cops involved? Sounds pretty serious.
