Ask how fast and how far this is thing is falling? Look no further to a Catholic Conference team scoring 15 on another Catholic Conference team. Eeesh, not a good look coach, not a good look. What was Belichick on the bench for BCH?
Malden Catholic and Central Catholic are in exactly the same boat! If you ask why? Because KB and JM used the two schools for their personal gain; promising to get kids to the next level and while raking in the cash along the way and pushing kids to their private Maxx Dynamic Skating Business. The 2 schools should be ashamed of themselves, letting these 2 creeps get away with that. The CC and MC Athletic Directors should be fired, but hey they had a nice run in the Super 8 for all those years and now they look like fools.
Which catholic recruited Russian players for years? Was it Central or another? Whichever team it was I'm sure those Trump supporters can get behind all those Russian players.
MC going to surprise everyone next year. Verbal commits from game changers. Just need to complete the application process. Heads will turn.. Bringing CC hockey back. Just watch....

I hope that includes the coach too. Current coach is not a game changer and not an attraction to go there.
As for players, any "game changers" out there are not going to MIAA schools anymore...just watch...
They may get a few very young good players who will use the school as an inexpensive stepping stone to get to the next level. That is exactly what has happened at Central and MC, they play for a couple of years and then take off when they are 16 or 17 to repeat at prep school (for those who have a brain) and junior hockey. It just so happened in the case of Central and MC the coaches took off with them. They did not need the school any longer for marketing purposes promising playing time for those who attend their skills sessions and summer camps. Who are the real dummies in this situation the Athletic Directors for allowing their school to be used for private gain, unless of course they get a little kick back on the profits.
The dude brings high energy, excitement, praise and dignity to the bench. You watch, deals in the works. MC will be a hot destination for those in the area
Must have been some long standing bad blood between these teams to let this happen. Flash should get called into the Head Master's office for this display .
Rumor has it that MC has already been called "to the principals office" over some of his actions this season. I really thoughthoped he'd be on his best behavior this year. Horrible record, some very upset parents, and in watching a game, some players obviously tuning him out. At this point, I wonder what Vegas is giving for odds on him making it to year 2?

As another poster already stated...no "game changers" are going to MIAA schools anymore. Even if MC gets "good" again (relative to MIAA), no one in the hockey world cares. Make all the deals you want...
Give the guy until November 23rd of next season before you start making comments about him. He was in a tough spot coming in late most the top players took off to other schools/ midget teams. High School hockey might be dead but he will get the program back to being a good high school spot for younger kids to play for a year or two before moving prep. If the school wants to be a power house again they will need to move to Mount St Charles model to make this happen if the school truly wants the best of the best again.
MC on right path. Some talk of reuniting his all star coaching squad from the fall. MC good leader but the other guys will wreck anything they touch. ( have )

What all-star coaching staff from the Giants? Bozos..
MC got FIRED from the job after a week.
RL canned him and the other guy, took the team over out of desperation before the other half of the team who weren't his kids (the better players) bolted.
If Malden Catholic had any brains they'd cut bait now before it becomes 100% irrelevant, not just 98% like today. But clearly they don't cause they didn't vet MC in the first place. Because if they had, they would have found out what everyone in rinks all over Mass know already.
In programs like MC or other Catholic Conference teams, just how much pull do the boosters have? Generally are they alumni or just current player's parents? Do they raise a bunch of $ annually or is it funded 100% by the school? You would think a bunch of past players would be interested in the collapse of their h.s. program.

I've known MC for years & genuinely like him outside of the rink. That said, the exact opposite is true. He needs the other coaches for any chance at success. MC has never liked talking to or dealing with parents once he gets a player on a team and that doesn't work in recruiting schools. (It also didn't work for him with youth and tournament teams) He needs his coaches to maintain a positive relationship with them.
The real question is, can he go a season without doing or saying something to the players that gets the attention of Brother T? His track record since Mites would indicate no.
Fundamentally sound, good with kids, understands the game, has experience and is a good recruiter. Program knows what is doing, will turn things around in short order and will surprise many. Dont judge book by its's cover they say. Was stud player in his day and i expect his wisdom will rub off on his players and within 4 yerars will be battling for a title.
Good with kids..are you f'n serious with that? That is one of the funnier posts of the year. You obviously haven't spoken to any family whose kid he coached. Talk to some of the kids from his last two disasters and tell me if they think he's "good with kids". He'll get next year because he needs a chance to "bring in his own players" and I don't care if they go 20-0, he'll still get the axe because of how he is with kids.

sounds like your boy didnt make his team somewhere along the way. Proven track record of delivering and no disputing that. kids will block shotrs for him, go the extra distance and look up to him as a result of his leadership and how he treats them

Cut by him no, played for him yes. Can he teach the game and motivate kids, absolutely, particularly in the short term. Does he hold his players accountable, absolutely. Can he communicate with kids, absolutely not. Does he occasionally cross the line and endanger kids long term health in the name of a W, absolutely.
I'm happy that you think you've found the missing link that will return MC to relevancy, I hope so because high school hockey needs a jolt. How does that old saying go "a leopard never changes it's spots" or something like that. He's been let go from every organization he's been a part of in two seasons or less and if he can coach, and kids love him, ask yourself why?

His most recent dismissal from a split season team was not his fault. He had some guys around him that he later learned were the problem and anyone could see that
Guy deserves a chace to prove his doubters wrong. Will have new squad next year and his doubters will eat their words.Good move by the school bringing in one of the better hockey minds north of Boston.

I hope he succeeds, like the NBA needs strong teams in Boston & LA, high school hockey needs MC, AC, SJP to be strong but it's not just last season's team he was dismissed from. Go talk to some parents from the Merrimack Valley area, he's been let go from every program he's been a part of after 1 or 2 seasons. I already agreed with you that he has a solid background, he knows hockey, he can motivate kids in the short term and does a great job of holding his players accountable and he always has. So why can't he stay anywhere long term?
I have no doubt he's going to bring in a strong class next year and his record will reflect that influx of talent but I also know his history.
