How old is your kid?
The average age for kids getting commitments is 18.9 years old.
The new rules are to end the lunacy of parents thinking their kid is getting a commitment that means anything - or needs one - at 14/15/16.
If your kid is good enough that he is getting a real verbal at 16, they will find you.
The "Biggest Dead Hockey Cliche Award" goes to...."If your kid is good enough . . . they will find you."
The 1980's called and they want their cliche back.
:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
It has been replaced with "If your dad was good enough, they will find you"
It doesn't matter where you played before. It matters how you play at the T1 or Junior A level. If you do well, you can play at the NCAA level. If not, they will drop you or just keep pushing you out until you decommit. USHL is the great equilizer. Can't hide out there.
