Re: Prep Cup in NH

anon
So who takes the weekend at the 03 and 04 levels?
usually..the winner

Re: Prep Cup in NH

03 BHC should only have to ply again in the championship game, and in that game, use opposite sticks to give the other team a chance

Re: Prep Cup in NH

They had an easy draw... JR Blues and NH Knights will give them a game

Re: Prep Cup in NH

Interesting mix of talent, prep vs non prep route.

Re: Prep Cup in NH

Hard not to notice success of at least on the kids on BHC 2003 - going into junior year, still at public high school (which isn't that strong), yet made it through Mass Festival and was selected in the USHL draft. In other words, doing better that those doling out $10 thousands at prep.

In order words, Prep isn't necessary nor is skipping out on HS and playing full year juniors.

Does he have a agent? Does he pay for that agent? Does he do private skills? Does he pay for skills?
Lets not pretend any of these players families don't spend an alot of dollars on this game.

Re: Prep Cup in NH

Family probably pays the same as whatever the prep kids pay for hockey specific except for the school season itself. In other words, beyond paying the big prep tuition, prep school parents still have to pay for private lessons, deluxe camps, half season (Fall) hockey, spring/summer teams, & related travel, strength training coaches, etc. I agree, everyone is in for $10K minimum, prep or not, and the parents of prep are also paying school tuition and boarding on top of that.

Prep and Public High School haven’t seen or been given a taste of the man’s game. Those who play Full Season in the high end division have. I have seen Prep School kids come in to fill in for some of the full season teams and end up quiting or just not liking the game that much because the success is not found for them in these games. They especially hate the physical play.
