You are likely in a better spot then. South of Boston a mess.
Send your kid out of the area. Best option for anyone older than 15. Every mid-west FS team packed with 4 lines of talent, lots of ice, good development. Even the mighty Lovells have become only about money and can’t field full competitive teams.
SKS and Mount only real options in New England, both to rich for my wallet
If south of Boston probably Kong’s or Giants. Both are a mess without enough players. Both teams taking 1/2 or under agers just to get a few lines. Both laughable. Throw in the fact that both have watered down juniors team in same boat and it makes it worse. Rumor has it Lovells can’t even field a team for there new junior Knights. They have become a joke.
If north of Boston, Islanders will have opposite problem, but 5 lines rough and 3 of them are terrible and just paying RG to have a kid in a team. Ironically Generals seemed to field a full team that are ok.
For NH, Cyclones and Seacoast in same boat as 2nd rate Lovell and Kings programs. Monarchs have full squads.
Anything west of Worcester...well.
Where is the development path for a 8th-10th grade player? Public school hockey is tough, FS teams are all a mess, and Prep a ton of money and kid may not be ready to play there yet. It's seems really hard to find a good developmental path for a very good (not top player) in that age group??
Wrong. Most all U16s and u18 FS hockey broken around here. Not enough players and poor talent. Teams with 9 - 13 players? Really? Lovells and USPHL owners should put ego aside, stand behind their “development claims” and form a few good, fully staffed, competitive teams.
Then again they have Porsches and nice summer houses to pay for!
T1EHL moves the most players to USHL than D1. Than Minnesota HS, Than NE Prep.
Full season hockey around here could be great....
But it won’t.
1) Greedy owners - too expensive and not many orgs run professionally - cuts into the Porsche and Range Rover funds
2) Bad part time coaches that can’t recruit or actually teach the game
3) Too many teams
4) Rapid advancement of players - playing up not good most of the time as it waters down the game
Prep or leaving area only real way to go.
South Kent Selects
Mount Saint Charles Academy
In that order, are only full season options in New England
Good players, legitimate programs, very good coaching.
Run from any other program. That now includes any of the Lovell ones. BA was good, no more. They have 3 local teams now. Totally watered down and now just a money grab.
Islanders and Cyclones have multiple teams, RG carrying 5 lines each just for the money..
Most college commitments.
BA U15/16/18 T1EHL
In that order.
Holy crap Batman. Put down the crack pipe you FS Lovell lover! You are either TL, JL, KP or RL. All tool bags.
Most peeps would kill those FS teams.
As far as “commits”.....older Gaudreau wasn’t a BA FS player. Prep to USHL. Younger brother? 4th liner at ME, if he dresses. SD? BC ready to pull plug on him. Little TL? Will never play D1 hockey. Unfortunately too small. Other 2 guys on his team? Come on now. All publicity stunts. Merrimack and HC? Really? UNH brothers? Maybe the younger one....SD only one who playing in USHL. We’ll see how he does. Monarchs had 1 commit, who can’t make a USHL team.
USPHL? Doesn’t even warrant a response.
Prep....I would start typing but way to many to list. I think I made my point.
TL, sorry your programs are over rated...
Thanks JR hope all is well in Breaker land
Looks like one of the Lovell brothers or their butt boys is sensitive!
Sorry your teams aren’t good and you are only in it for the money!
Ahh. You mean a NJ kid???
Um, yeah...we are talking New England bozo.
Now back to your crack pipe!
