Boston Jr. Eagles ranked as No. 1 18U team in the United States
It’s official, the Boston Jr. Eagles are the top 18U team in the United States of America.
The first MYHockeyrankings.com rankings were released on Wednesday, Sept. 25, and the Newton, Mass.-based Jr. Eagles earned the top spot.
They are 11-0-2 on the season, including a 2-0-1 performance against some of the top 18U programs at the recent BJB Shootout. There, they defeated both the Northwood School and Victory Honda, and tied Belle Tire.
The Jr. Eagles were not by any stretch the only EHF Selects team in the top 10.
Just two spots below at No. 3 were the Little Bruins’, the split-season EHF Selects team operated by the Boston Junior Bruins organization, out of Marlborough, Mass. The Little Bruins are coming off decisive wins over Belle Tire, the Los Angeles Jr. Kings and the Westchester Express at the BJB Shootout.
Next, at No. 5 overall, were the Eastern Mass. Senators’ EHF Selects team, which went 3-1 against their BJB Shootout competition. Their ranking was also bolstered by a strong 3-0 opening at the Tier 1 Labor Day Faceoff.
Two more EHF Selects 18U teams made the top 15 overall - the No. 14 GBL Jr. Bruins and the No. 15 Cape Cod Whalers.
The GBL Jr. Bruins have beaten the Little Bruins this season, and also went 3-0 at the BJB Shootout against the USPHL’s Skipjacks Hockey Club (ranked 23rd), L.A. Jr. Kings and the Cleveland Jr. Barons.
The Cape Cod Whalers were yet another 3-0 team against Tier 1 Elite Hockey League competition last weekend - they counted Belle Tire, Victory Honda and Fox Motors among their wins.
For the USPHL full-season Midgets, CP Dynamo (No. 21), Skipjacks Hockey Club (23) and the Jersey Hitmen (No. 27) had impressive early showings in the 18U rankings.

Don't pop the bubbly yet, there's still a winner-takes-all USA hockey national tournament to be played in the Spring to determine the best team in the age group.

Well the U18 MSC team hasn't lost any players the the USHL or Q. The U16 team only lost 1 to the Q. The 2 who played in the USHL from U16 team are back with the team and only played last weekend get a feel for the level. Happens all the time.
