Help us out, are there any kids worth looking at for the next level? You guys see the kids more than we do, whats out there for talent?
Unless your from the mens leagues dont bother. Awful hockey
Guy is being a jerk. At the U16 level many teams have 1 if not 2 players who will move on to higher hockey. I guess it depends on what you consider higher hockey, U18? Premier? College? However, for many, this will be there last year of travel hockey and will be forced to try out for their public high school next year.
Give it a rest Lovell cronies. You’re just mad because you don’t have a league to play in anymore and in some of your programs you don’t even have teams. Nice job Giants!
USPHL is best local 16 and 18 option due to better schedule and less travel. Sorry, but true.
Now RL, BE, RH and KP, go back under the rocks you all crawled out from under. RL, a little less time on the Dboard and more time trying to save the two teams that are about to fold at the Giants!

This^^^^😂😂😂 spot on!
Too busy drinking beers in the Barn...
Debatable. Who you think you are, Nzone? They should do that ranking. Take all the 03 kids they have given star ratings on in MA and rank them 1 through how many ever they have and then by league. Would be interesting to see. USPHL Full Season teams in MA would have 15 or more in top 100. Jr Bruins, Islanders, Pics, Kings, Bandits definitely have kids who fit that rating. IM you up for that?:grimacing:
You are WRONG and your boy is not even close to these kids. I know. I know you don’t have an 03. Ass Crack
I have an 03 on one of the FS U16 teams and is in the top 50 03s in MA. Why would you not think kids on these teams could be in top 100? Cmon man.
Kings, JR Bruins, Bandits..
Lots of 04's and even..gulp.. 05's.. playing regular shifts. The remaining 03's are mostly cuts from decent half season teams/and or/cuts/4th liners from HS teams.
None are close to Top 50, maybe a couple crack the bottom of top 100.
The USPHL 16 FS wouldn't come close to beating good D2 MIAA teams.
Ask yourself how many of these 03's are going to make decent U18 teams next year when competing against 02's not 04's and 05's. Not many..
Specifically for the MA 03 group, after the top 30 skaters it gets very close depending what a evaluator is looking for. Some skate better, some have size, some have IQ, it becomes very hard to evaluate with no outside influence. What would make the difference from say a player rated #65 vs #79. Splitting hairs for 16 year old evals is virtually impossible. Why do you think you hear the same 30 players names ALL THE TIME.
As for leagues and teams, Strong 1/2 season players get the exposure but fade when the Prep season starts because they are not getting the ice time and again are 16 playing against 18 year olds. If your son is on a full season team, focus on bigger, faster, stronger and stay the path. Good Luck!
Ahh..if you knew and saw him you you wouldn’t question it. Bigger point is there is no FS U16 player that could carry his bag...
Lets see..ISL, strong 03 with a heavy bag..Sebs or Thayer? Sebs top 03 who left with 15 points last year, next 03 with 2 points last year. Thayer top 03 with 12 points next with 5..Really blowing the doors off, how could any other 03 keep up with them. Sit down dad.
The more significant point here is that why would any even decent 03 play USPHL FS 16 instead of finding a good half season team and then play HS or Prep?? The obvious answer is 99% of them couldn't do the latter. The good half season teams don't want those kids and they can't play prep or most good HS teams. So they're left with low level FS 16.
I'd say just have fun, play on an convenient half season team and grind it out on your HS team or JV prep and call it a career. It should be a fun activity at this point. Their not going to play college hockey or even anything past 2 years of Tier 3 juniors. Why bother spending $8,500 plus another $5-7K in expenses to play what amounts to JV or low level MIAA hockey anyway.. I don't get it. The Kings, Bandits, Jr. Bruins thank you for your patronage..

You honestly don't think that the top starting 5 players from a U16 FS in MA could make their High School Team. Cmon man, you are nuts.

Depending on what HS team, but on the good ones those SSK, Bandits division kids would have very little shot. You have 05's leading some of these teams in scoring up front.
